American Grown Flowers Month

American Grown Flowers Month – Celebrating American Grown flowers in all 50 States

It’s American Grown Flowers Month! With the 4th of July soon approaching and people’s desire to continue supporting American businesses, American Grown Flowers Month is the perfect time to show your support! American Grown Flowers Month focuses on the flower growers and farms nationwide. Families and flower growers work long days to produce beautiful flowers and what better way to thank them for their hard work than to purchase flowers near you or from our website.

Fun Fact: About 75% of all domestic flower production is in California, between Watsonville (near San Francisco) and Carlsbad (near San Diego). The Fabulous Florals warehouse and shipping facility is in the seaside town of Carpinteria, California. We are surrounded by both small and large flower growers. Due to the unique Mediterranean climate along the coast, the temperature stays relatively cool, and the sun shines year-round making it the perfect location for growing flowers.

The domestic flower production continues to expand into other states and support those local farmer’s markets. Fabulous Florals procures about 70% of its flower offerings domestically and its parent company Florabundance, Inc, is a Certified American Grown wholesaler. While browsing on the Fabulous Florals website, you will see the American-grown flower items marked by this logo:

To celebrate American Grown Flowers Month, we have added 3 special flower assortments to celebrate the 4th of July. Featured below are pictures of each assortment:

Our Firecracker arrangement was made with white Tweedia, red Cottage Yarrow, and Blue Thistle Eryngium. For this arrangement, we cut our flowers down to about 6 inches and placed them into a small block of Oasis flower foam to help give it structure, but you are free to simply cut and arrange how you please!

The Americana arrangement was made with white Lisianthus, red Butterfly Ranunculus, and blue Cornflower. We suggest trimming all your flowers with a diagonal cut to ensure they get optimal hydration.

Lastly, the Grand Finale arrangement was made with 2 bunches of each flower variety: white Snapdragons, red Alstroemeria, and blue Delphinium. To help give your arrangements some more dimension, we suggest cutting each stem at varying lengths- this also gives you the illusion of a fuller bouquet!
